Allen Chitayat is the Cofounder of MAC Multifamily Investments, LLC, which was formed to purchase and operate apartments in the Sunbelt and Western U.S. markets that are projected to lead the nation in economic and population growth in the coming decades. Mr. Chitayat has been active in all aspects of the multifamily business for the past 35 years. Mr. Chitayat has most recently been associated with the San Diego, CA office of CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate advisory firm. During his career Mr. Chitayat has been involved in the sale and acquisition of over 575 apartment complexes at a value of in excess of $2.0 billion throughout the Southwestern United States. Allen has also assisted in debt and equity placements for multifamily and commercial properties of approximately $1 billion. Mr. Chitayat’s client list has included institutional investors, family offices, offshore investors, syndicators and private investors. In addition to his advisory services, Mr. Chitayat has invested in, syndicated, operated and/or developed a personal portfolio of multifamily assets of up to 2,000 apartment units. Through his extensive professional experience in multifamily property ownership and management he has developed a unique outlook on all aspects of the industry.
